Hooking right along

I finished the Kigali Lace Wrap awhile ago-in fact, just in time for the 50's night at a friend's church. I wore it to the event and I was so glad! It was downright chilly there early on and that wrap is pretty warm. Some of the other ladies looked jealous. :)

My next project I undertook was a sweater for Ian. It's been kinda slow going (if less than a month can truly qualify as slow), but I'm almost there. I just have to finish the waist-band ribbing and then add the zipper. I'm hoping to finish this weekend so we can go get family photos for the holidays.

I've also started a special item for my sister, but it's for Christmas so that info has to come later. :P

While I was walking through Michael's Arts and Crafts a few weeks ago I saw a skein of Red Heart Shimmer yarn. I had already been seeing visions of a peppermint swirl design in a scarf or a hat. When I saw the Shimmer in red and white I knew I had to make those little balls of shiny goodness into something fun for Christmas! New Pattern: Neapolitan Baby Shrug

While I was traveling with my mom, I came up with this idea for a little shrug for a baby at our church. (Enjoy MacKenzie!) I pretty much just made it up as I went along, but have now written it up and am posting it here. For larger sizes, repeat rows 1-6 an extra time before you continue. I like using the various stitches, because it adds a bit of a texture to it, almost like ice cream ripples. My mom called Neapolitan and that name has stuck. Mental Health Care

Back when I began this experiment with hemp oil, I told you that I was hoping for some help with depression and mental health. Naturally, that kind of treatment takes time to show results.
